About The Book!

A matter of life and death.

Life and death are inevitable in our plain of being. One sprouts existence, whereas the other demolishes everything in its reach into oblivion. But what happens when these spectrums are given their own name… when even Death is brought to life.

Crowned in brown hair and draped in robes, Life sprouts flowers onto fields, whereas Death lurks in the shadows to put an end to life.

Read into the only battle that matters, a matter of life and death.

Tierla and Jadeanu are about to embark on their journey, one for the rest of their lives. Their celebrations are cut short by an unexpected rumble that takes them by surprise amidst the bells, whistles, and grandeur, one that will change their lives forever. What seems like an earthquake escalates seismically. Celebrations turn into casualties as Tierla and Jadeanu walk amongst the bodies of those who once were.

“What happened to our world?” is the only befitting words Jadeanu can muster up.

Jalel Wordlaw depicts his answers in one of the most vivid fantasy fiction.

The book perfectly lives up to Jalel’s creative reputation and offers an immersive dive into its lore for the reader. But what went into the making of this tale? How did it manifest?

Jalel accredits the inspiration to two things. The first stems from the broodingly peaceful soundtrack of one of the most-loved video games of all time, Assassins Creed 2. The video game encompasses a grand fantasy fiction story with Desmond Miles glancing into his ancestral bloodline of assassins. The combination of notes and chords manifested the concept of a divine deity who embodies creation itself up against another that oozes death in its aura.

Secondly, his inspiration for the book originates from Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, another critically acclaimed video game filled with superheroes and villains we all have come to know and love, clashing against each other. He brought the idea of two realms clashing together to the book’s framework.

In deeper notions of the book, he describes the concept of Life and Death being necessary for humans and the plain of existence. He feels life is a wonderous innocence of being born into something anew. Something that creates light for all that exist to experience wonder and imagination. On the other hand, he paints death as a deity to rival Life’s agenda, a lesser known-yet-beautiful nuance that ends the potential cruelties and burdens of living… one that has his definition of freedom. It can bind someone with fear, but the true acceptance of the inevitable is what inspires the beauty of life.

And the most ironic nuance is that one can’t exist without the other.

The stories unravel into an exhilarating fantasy adventure as the sky changes color. Where will Jadeanu and Tierla end up with each other? What caused the seismic rumble that tore their wedding apart?
