About the author

It takes passion and creative tenacity to execute the genre of fantasy fiction beautifully. Here is the myth, Jalel Wordlaw.

The story begins once upon a time in Desoto, Texas, where Jalel grew up with two older brothers and parents. His dad worked for a phone company, and his mother ran Albertsons before she passed away.

Jalel discovered his creative potential in fifth grade, where he was leagues ahead of his classmates when jotting down his bizarre imagination onto paper. Brainstorming ideas came naturally to him and in one of the most intriguing manners. He reminisces about writing a story that manifested entirely from events playing out in his mind and being praised for his unique composition and story-building ability. He eventually became known all over the school for his creativity and garnered praise from his peers. Quite the “protagonist” start to an about the author section.

He developed his writing style, which has now become his signature and trademark. Jalel describes it as a mix of educational, dark, yet inspirational style engrossed with a pinch of humor to keep things light. He prefers keeping the POV from the third person’s perspective so the reader can grasp the story from a bigger picture since the technique allows for a more vivid description.

Jalel went through Cockrell Hill and Amber Terrace Elementary school and moved to West Middle School, eventually graduating from Desoto High School.

He accredits the GoldenTouchPublications company for facilitating his writing journey and developing his writing style. Furthermore, he also would like to give a special shoutout to his fifth-grade elementary teacher, Mr. Everett Whittaker, for encouraging him to explore his creative potential.

Jalel is now an author already making waves in the industry with his newest book, Swirl of Death, an impactful fantasy fiction that portrays the literal battle between Life and Death.
